Our scholars did fantastic work demonstrating, from their perspective, the skills that they are learning in our career center. The Jasper County Career and Advanced Technology Education Center (JC CATE) hosted a luncheon on Monday, Oct. 21st, which brought over 50 local business partners into direct contact with our scholars.
Dr. Stephanie Hart, Director, JC CATE:
"I am extremely excited that more than 50 local business partners participated in the Lowcountry Workforce Success Luncheon. It was vital for my students to have face-to-face engagements with the local business leaders.
I desperately want JC CATE, one of the best-kept secrets in Jasper, not to be a secret anymore. I want to change the narrative about our students here in Jasper. It was necessary for these partners, who traveled from as far as Greenville, to come and see what our students are learning and what they have to say about the expertise they earned in our career center. I serve one of the best teams here and they put their all into ensuring our students not only learn to gain knowledge, but that they learn to share the knowledge.
I am proud of the phenomenal work that I get to do as the President of the Lowcountry Workforce Board and the CTE Director here in Jasper County. As a result of this meeting, I believe the opportunities for my students will only increase."
