TSgt John Bolsch (USAF, Ret.)

Mr. Bolsch, his wife, and two sons moved to the Lowcountry in 2022.  He is retired from the United States Air Force, where he served first as a clinical mental health technician and later as a survival psychology specialist and compliance program manager for the Air Force's S.E.R.E. School and the 58th Special Operations Wing's Inspector General.  Mr. Bolsch has served as a certified 911 communications operator and emergency medical dispatcher.  He also taught middle school English Language Arts in Newark, New Jersey, and served in school leadership as a Business Operations Manager for Success Academy Charter Schools in various locations around New York City, from Prospect Heights in Brooklyn to Harlem and Washington Heights in Manhattan. 
 
Mr. Bolsch has earned an Associate of Arts in Mental Health Studies from the Community College of the Air Force, an Associate of Arts in General Studies from American Military University, a Bachelor of Arts in Management from American Military University, a graduate certificate in Educational Technology & Online Instruction from Liberty University, and a Master of Science in Human Resource Development from Villanova University.  He is currently enrolled in a doctoral Curriculum & Instruction cohort through Liberty University.
 
After landing in Jasper County School District as a part-time substitute teacher in January 2023, Mr. Bolsch loved the people and the culture so much he applied to be a full-time teacher.  He began teaching Global Logistics & Supply Chain Management throughout the 2023-2024 school year, during which time he was named Rookie Teacher of the Year.  That same year, he was the founding Lead Advisor for the Jasper County CATE Center's brand new SkillsUSA Chapter, and led seven students to compete, and win, at the State level, earning 3rd Place in the sUAS Commercial Drone competition and 1st Place in all of South Carolina for the Job Interview competition, later placing 7th in the Nation.
 
Mr. Bolsch has newly been appointed as the Aerospace & Drone Technology instructor.  He holds an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate and loves inspiring future patriots and aviators.  He is excited to teach and to learn new things about this budding field of study, and to see what amazing things his students will achieve as the pioneers of a bold technological future!
