Irvin Espinoza RHHS Class of 2019 Guest Speaker from Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University Class of 2024

Irvin Espinoza, a high-performing student from Ridgeland, South Carolina, was honored as one of the inaugural Boeing Scholars at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. This prestigious scholarship program was established to expand and diversify the aviation workforce by supporting students pursuing degrees in aviation science, aircraft maintenance, and related fields at Embry-Riddle – a world-renowned institution in the field of aviation and aerospace 1.

The Boeing scholarships, supported by a $3 million endowment from Boeing, aim to increase the representation of women, underrepresented minorities, and military veterans and their dependents at the university. Irvin Espinoza, along with other deserving scholars, will receive annual scholarships ranging from $5,000 to $7,500 for two years. These scholarships not only recognize academic achievements but also address the critical need for aerospace talent in the industry 1.
