Welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year!Welcome

Greetings,

I am Lucille Kannick, your Information Technology Pathway teacher.  Welcome to the new school year.   Whether we are meeting virtually or face to face. I am delighted to be your teacher.  Currently, we have five new Pathways in our New Career and Technology Education Center and I will be teaching Computer Repair and Service, Advanced Computer Repair and Service, and Fundamental of Computing, which are the required courses for the Information Technology Pathway.  I am also  your yearbook advisor.

I was born and reared in Bluffton, SC and she is still my home.  My experiences with other cultures goes beyond the local area. Before Covid, it was easy for me to pack a bag and go and experience other towns, cities, states, and countries. Now I have to put traveling on hold.  I graduated with honors from the H.E. McCracken High School and Magna Cum Laude from Allen University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.  I later received my teaching certification from South Carolina Critical Needs Program, after working as an administrative assistant for MW Builders (builders of Marriott-Fairfield Inn) and in management for Avis Rent a Car.  I furthered my educational studies at the University of South Carolina and Coastal Carolina.

I started my working career on Hilton Head Island, SC with MW Builders, (builders of Fairfield Inns by Marriott) as an administrative assistant; Avis Rent a Car, as a sales representative and then manager; in Jasper County as a Career and Technology Education Teacher (CATE). I have received many accolades via employment which include Jasper County Rotarian Teacher of the Year, Jasper County High School Teacher of the Year, Ridgeland High School Teacher of the Year, Ridgeland Hardeeville High Teacher of the Month and Jasper County District Teacher of the Year.  I am the CTE Department Chair, South Carolina ADEPT Certified Evaluator, Advisor for Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), and a member of the Leadership Team. I was also a member of the School Improvement Council and a mentor to other teachers. My professional membership includes SCABSE, SBEA, SCEA and NEA and PTSA.
