I am a fifth generation native of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Currently, I am a student at Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University with a major in Unmanned Systems. I received my B.A. in Music from South Carolina State University; Masters Degree in jazz performance from the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago, IL, an Educational Specialist degree and Ed.D. in advanced studies in Educational Leadership from South Carolina State University. I have also taken music courses at Towson State University, University of Nebraska, University of South Carolina and Converse College. My interest in acting began in 1994 when I performed with the renowned Hallelujah Singers for the “Forest Gump movie soundtrack. I have also performed the opening for The Reverend Luther Barnes in Concert.
I hold a South Carolina Teaching license in Music Education, Elementary and Secondary Principal and Superintendent. I have been teaching for ten years, at Hilton Head Elementary School and previously at Beaufort Elementary School. I have been the Assistant Principal at Hardeeville Elementary school for three years and the Jasper County School District PBIS Coach for two years. In addition, I am a certified Federal Aviation Administration Remote Pilot, and a Certified Teacher Cadet Instructor.
When I am away from school I enjoy sailing, kite-surfing, collecting sport cars, golfing, drone racing and speaking Arabic.
I truly love teaching Aerospace Engineering. I am looking forward to 2023-2024 school year, meeting the students who are new to our district this semester.
